After calling the grand city of Chicago home for 5 years, we moved our family of four (counting our dog, FurFur, as our first-born) to Bethesda, Maryland in the winter of 2012 to follow my husband's career path. We live in a comfortable and idyllic suburban neighborhood, but a piece of my heart will always be in Chi-town – it's where my life as a married woman flourished, where my career took flight, where our ever-loyal furry companion was adopted, and where my son was born.
I'm a big city gal at heart, and I want to
travel the world and read The New Yorker while wearing polka dotted
dresses and Manolos. I plan to conquer suburbia. I'm not a dreamer in the most romantic of senses. Rather, I am a creature of habit – and in this habit lies room for growth, adventure, and bloom.
BLOOM & HABIT is a personal blog about the everyday moments in life that happen while tending to, and growing, our little family.

p dot s. This appears to be my special occasion dress, here I am in it again several years later!
