Playdate at Lakeshore East Park

Weekend061012_a
{ my friend Jaz, putting on a bubble show for the babes at Lakeshore East Park }

It was a busy week for Baby Max, with three consecutive playdates (it would have been four, but Mama needed a break!!). It might sound so fun and easy being a SAHM, but running your baby around (especially for playdates) in between all the routine baby care tasks is tiring! Just trust me.

Nevertheless, we took advantage of the beautiful but hot weather for two outdoor playdates: one at Oz Park and the other at Lakeshore East Park. Both are spectacular parks in the city of Chicago. Oz Park is themed after––you guessed it––Wizard of Oz, with bronze statues of Dorothy and Tin Man dotting lush green areas called The Emerald Garden and whatnot. While Oz Park is overrun by Lincoln Park families and nannies, Lakeshore East Park is more of a swanky oasis amongst high-rises for the South Loop crowd.

And what does one have at a swanky Lakeshore East picnic? Why, homemade sushi, of course!
