The last weekend before strawberry season closed out over here, we decided to check out a nearby orchard for the first time. Max LOVES berry picking! You should have seen the look on his face, when I told him he could eat them, too! This pretty much cancelled out every Bad Mum-ma instance when I tell him he can't eat stuff off the floor. Big eyes, even bigger stomach, let's just say.
The strawberries we picked were of the smaller variety, which tend to be sweeter and more fragrant. And they sure were. Besides being super excited about being able to regularly pick my own local produce straight from the fields, they also have a cute farm market where you can choose from homemade frozen pies, artisanal pancake mixes and flavored honey straws––I'm thinking perfect for my next summer drink?? Up next... blueberries and blackberries!
