Indian wedding #1

For the longest time, it's been the goal of The Fella and I to participate in a real Indian wedding, and this year alone, we've finally been invited to two! One wedding will have a full weekend of traditional Indian festivities, including henna for the ladies! I am so excited for this, that I was thinking of calling in sick in order to make it to this activity on a Friday afternoon. Then I found out that henna lasts several weeks until it eventually fades. Guess there's no way to hide the fact that I played hooky from work, huh?

And now, the 64 million dollar question, as far as I'm concerned: What do I wear??

Luckily, I have a good Indian girlfriend who generously loaned me a few traditional outfits. I'm so excited to play dress-up, bedecking myself in bright colors, layers of silky fabrics, and 24k gold jewelry...

And off we go!
