Sometimes you just gotta pause and catch your breath and think, "Wait a minute, I'm not wearing pants."
Seriously, where does the time goes these days? It's like everything is in fast forward, ever since Max became so mobile. It's incredible, really. Like it happened overnight. I used to think he required so much attention––you know, the "baby kind" that involved around-the-clock feeding, diapering, holding––but boy, I had no idea what life would be like at 11 months!
Now that he's been crawling and "walking" since 9 months, I'm constantly running after him, just trying to minimize the number of bumps. There is no longer any time to play on the computer and do this little blogging thing during his awake time, so I have to catch up on all my work when he sleeps. (I can hear all the other mamas snickering back there.)
Anyway, here's a look at last weekend, which mainly consisted of enjoying the amazing, almost-fall weather out on Division Street and Milwaukee Ave. in our neighborhood. Lots of eating was involved. Max had Korean bbq for the first time (he likes!), we took silly pics in a photo booth at the Renegade Craft Fair (my annual tradition since I've been living here in Chicago!), and people-watched during dinner at Prasino's sidewalk patio.
And
new on the baby-led weaning front, Max likes kimchi pork and tofu,
lamb, brick chicken, lobster, and roasted cauliflower cheesy souffle.
He's fancy.
