5th wedding anniversary at The Peninsula

Before we left for New York, we celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary at The Peninsula with dinner at The Lobby. Just like the Peninsula hotel brand is known for, the details (in and around the restaurant) were elegant, service impeccable, and the food delicious. With market-fresh menu options like lamb chops in a merlot reduction with fava beans, grilled flank steak with chimichurri and spring asparagus, side of lobster mashed potatoes, rhubarb crisp and popcorn ice cream (yes, popcorn!!) for dessert, how could you go wrong? Oh, and the duck flambé amuse bouche was the perfect, complimentary starter course. Next on my Chicago bucket list? Afternoon tea at The Peninsula!
