It seems like all the mamas in this Meetup moms group I belong to live in Lakeview. We've been to at least four other playdates over there. That's probably because that neighborhood isn't ghetto and is therefore a calm, quiet place to raise a family, unlike where we live.
Actually, I like my neighborhood for the most part, minus the one rental building next door. It's like a third-world slum building with a ghetto landlord lady and an ever-changing roster of tenants who don't give a sh*t about common courtesies. Things like littering on private property (ours, specifically), letting their toddlers play with the car horn as a toy, having screaming matches in the middle of the night, crazy ladies off their meds wandering the sidewalk, and oh, that one drive-by last summer when the gangstas moved in. It's so nice to show Maxwell how the other half lives in Lakeview.
On a side note, Max seems to have amassed quite the collection of Baby Boden shirts from various friends! Aren't they darling? This London-based brand is available at Nordstrom and their tees are recognized for their quirky, colorful shapes. He's also wearing sweatpants in size 6 months, a wee bit too small. Oops.
