There are two South Beaches: by day, it's all laid-back European lover; by night, clubby and cray-cray, just like your best college girl friend. You know, the kind where you wear your sunglasses all night long a la Pitbull. By day, South Beach looks like this:
Tranquil and pristine.
I spent two lovely weekends on the Beach with the fam while in Florida. It involved lots of eating at cute outdoor cafes, poolside barbecues, and let's not forget, extremely hot and/or rainy weather at times.
The morning after a nice night out on the town, The Fella and I had breakfast patio-side at the hotel, then rode the "Quarter Bus" (it literally costs only 25 cents to ride!!) back to the condo to meet up with the fam. But not before seeing a ripped Billy Blanks-clone doing warm-ups in orange crocs, no shirt on Washington Ave., and a parrot being walked by his owner, right next to his friend walking his dog. Why the heck not? #OnlyInMiami
Just before leaving South Beach for good, we made a quick stop at My Ceviche.
