I've officially joined the club. This weekend was spent doing things you never really prepared yourself for as a 21 year old. But then I have to remind myself, I'm no longer 21, I am 31. Things like babyproofing, picnicking at your very first Ravinia concert which happened to be a kids' one, and a trip to the Randolph Street Vintage Market (a designer's dream!) with a girl friend capped off with lunch at a retro diner.
Obviously, it goes without saying that the babes were present at every one of these. Picnicking with babies = FUN! Vintaging/shopping/dining out with babies = EH, SO-SO..... (More often than not, we each ended up having to carry or wear Baby, while pushing around an empty stroller.)
But best about this weekend, unlike some other ones I'd rather forget, was being surrounded by genuinely good people and positive energy. I'm ever so grateful for people like this in my life!
Now that is a perfect weekend. ('Scuse the slightly grainy iPhone pics of Randolph Street Market––it almost lends a vintage feel to the photos!)
