In the first week of fall, it seems appropriate to speak of transitions and fresh beginnings. Now feels like the right time to officially announce the blog's facelift. Doesn't she look fresh? For awhile now, I've been contemplating changing the blog's original name from when it began in 2010, Capes Chairs and Cows, to something that better represents me now as not only an individual, but also as a mother. And that's how Bloom & Habit came to be – along with bigger pictures and a cleaner user interface. These changes jumpstart a whole new kind of dream and give me a more straightforward purpose for growing this little space into something special.
Other new beginnings? Our mission over the weekend, which was to massively "edit" our stuff in preparation for the move. I'm usually a hoarder when it comes to stuff, because I find it hard to let go, but for some reason this time it felt GREAT (and somewhat of a relief) to just toss anything and everything that hasn't been looked at, touched, or thought about in over a year.
Oh, and this gorgeous mustard Pashli doppelganger, absolutely perfect for fall, that I managed to snag while on a diaper run during the frenzy that was Phillip Lim x Target launch. And I only had to throw a few elbows! Photographed just before all the lovely orchid blooms fell off, giving way to a new season . . .

You were lucky! When I went to Target, all Philip Lim bags and scarves were gone, nothing left!!!
