New York City, part 2

Refreshed from a good night's sleep after a busy first day, we awoke to the buzz of the city on a glorious Saturday morning in the Village. We stepped outside into clear, crisp weather in the 60s reminiscent of April, and headed downtown to Chinatown for dimsum with the family at Jin Fong, a favorite of mine. It's one of the few Chinatown restaurants that still does dimsum Hong Kong style, traditional food carts being wheeled around laden with small plates of fried and steamed goodies.

Luckily for us I had big plans for the family to walk off all that heavy Chinese food by way of the Brooklyn Bridge, #13 on my 30 for 30 list. We wove through Columbus Park in Chinatown, then City Hall to access the bridge via the Lower Manhattan side. Post about my adventures coming soon!

{ Brooklyn-bound, baby! }

Followed by a huge dinner with the family at Three Oceans restaurant on Mott Street, my favorite Chinatown restaurant for dinner. If you go there, order the lobster. It's less than $10 for a whole lobster!

Naturally, all this eating and walking led to a lazy Saturday night in, my favorite kind.
