The weekend, succinctly

The Fella is in ATL for a conference, so I'm on my own this week.

Besides checking off #4 on my 30 for 30 list, FurFur and I spent quality time this weekend, reading together on the guest bed (me, reading, and FurFur licking the edges of my library book).

I'm currently reading Russian Winter by Daphne Kalotay, and I'm only two chapters in but am quickly getting swept up in the tale of intrigue, poetry and romance of stolen jewels, set against the perfection of ballet in modern-day Boston and postwar Soviet Union. It's looking to be worthy of a review when I'm finished, 400+ pages later!

It was unseasonably warm – hitting 60 degrees today – so we also took long walks with Indy (my neighbor's dog who I was taking care of this weekend), a very good thing since I've been carbo-loading non-stop ever since the weather turned cold. I can't help it, spaghetti is just my comfort fall food of choice!

Not ready for Monday... but much looking forward to the excitement of being back in NYC at the end of the week!
