I coerced The Fella into going vintaging with me this weekend. It was advertised as an estate sale, but it turned out to just be one woman's studio of vintage stuff. Too bad, I have to admit I was looking forward to scoring old treasures from the very rich and famous like last time. I did, however, pick up this candy pink wool sweater with striped sleeves––a retro style and pastely color not quite in my comfort zone. It was the stitched trompe l'oeil collar that really caught my eye (no pun intended!). Sadly, I discovered a small hole in the pretty collar after I got home, which only got bigger after I put the sweater in the wash. Nothing a sparkly vintage pin couldn't cover up––I think this actually plays up the trompe l'oeil collar!
Verdict: $10 for an old sweater with a hole,
