Sorry––didn't get around to posting my outfit from yesterday, what with all the impending blizzard storm distractions and all. I admit, the outfit is colorful and I wouldn't change anything about it! Since living in Chicago, I've noticed that I've progressively toned down my "Miami flair," and especially since working at my current firm, where neutrals reign. It feels good to break out of the mold once in awhile––and inspired by my boss who is off galavanting around Goa on a month-long yoga retreat (!!!)––I am wearing a beautiful scarf that my girlfriend Maya brought me from India!
The exotic print boasts hues of vibrant fuschia, indigo blue, and purple, which jazz up a chocolate brown Zara sheath dress and purple velvet heels. As a designer, I've always been attracted to unexpected color combinations, such as fuschia and red, so I paired my best red knit tights (worn over black ones for extra warmth and to create a deeper hue) from Spain to complete my globally-inspired outfit of the day :o)
Outfit of the Day:
Polka dotted jacket, some boutique in SoHo, NYC
Dress, Zara
Scarf from India, gifted
Belt, H&M
Tights, Spain
Heels, Anne Klein
Oh my goodness, I am obsessed with the way you wore the scarf under the belt-- I need to try that! You look so chic :) xoxo
