I finally dared to break out my red tights today, brought all the way back from my trip to Spain last November. They've been tucked away in my closet for almost two seasons, screaming, Wear me! They're cherry tomato and textured with an Art Deco pattern, says the label. They're soft and stretchy and warm. Obviously I bought these because I saw something cool in them, but I never could work up the courage to wear really bright-colored tights that might stop traffic, much less figure out what to wear with!
Until today, when I woke up on this chilly autumn morning feeling literally inspired to wear and pair the red hue with shades of greys and tan. Surprisingly, this color palette worked!
I must have been feeling particularly bold because I not only rocked the colored tights trend, but also attempted the new "skinny-belt-over-cardigan" look that's been hitting the streets this season! A light grey cardigan over a crisp white, button down blouse, belted together with a narrow stretch of tan leather, a charcoal grey pencil skirt, topped off with a black-and-white plaid trench, and of course, the perfect pair of Manolo Blahniks to complete today's look.

So cute! Love the red tights :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously. We need to hang out more often and shop together, because this is totally something that I would wear. And I also wore my skinny belt over my tunic blouse the other day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, loves!
