OOTD: The husband sweater

Shhhhh. It seems like the "Steal Your Boyfriend's Sweater" trend is back in, and today I am blatantly ripping off this idea (and sweater) from style bloggers like Kendi Everyday and Clothed Much. As it turns out – HELLO, why haven't I ever done this before?? I wore a basic black sweater from The Fella's closet and found myself all snug, warm, and toasty, enveloped in the luscious 100% merino wool. Lovely, on a wintry day as today. He wore it yesterday, and this morning, after he had left for work, I swooped right into his closet and stole borrowed it. My dog was confused (possibly concerned?) why mommy was wearing daddy's sweater. I even gave myself a little pat on the shoulder for having convinced him to keep it out of the "Donate to Goodwill" pile, even though he felt it had shrunk a bit in the wash. (For the record, I'm pretty sure I wasn't responsible for that load.) It's the one thing of his that I'm not positively swimming in, and I rolled up the sleeves and belted the waist, rocking a slightly boxy look that I've fallen for recently.

Let's keep this between you and I. Oh wait, the cat's out of the bag?
