What I Wore: To party at a funeral home

Sound morbid? 

It's really not, don't worry. My old high school friend now lives in Chicago, in a former funeral home. We've recently reconnected. It basically went like this–

Her: Wanna come to a surprise birthday party this weekend for my boyfriend at our funeral home-turned-normal-home?
Me: Sure, why not!

(Okay, so the conversation didn't really happen like that, that's just what I read behind the lines of her Facebook message.)
