Awesome Food: Piccolo Sogno

The girls and I went to Piccolo Sogno for dinner last night. It's been on my bucket list to eat here for over a year and a half, but I just never got around to making it happen. I was very excited when M suggested we have a girls' night at Piccolo Sogno's outdoor patio to lap up this luxurious Spring weather.

The name means "Little Dream" in Italian, and that it is! Piccolo Sogno's homemade pasta was exquisite. I enjoyed a delicious Pappardelle with Spicy Lamb Meatballs, Roasted Eggplant, Bell Peppers, and Pine Nuts...

The pappardelle was light as delicate ribbons like it is in Italy, and coated with the perfect amount of a flavorful sauce.

The decor was also incredibly beautiful – it breathed of rustic Italian elegance, with the inside softly lit up by Murano glass chandeliers and Venetian plastered walls in an antique blue, while the outside patio had an ethereal quality with white lights tinkling in the graceful arches of grand, sweeping trees. Alfredo, our server, was the right authentic touch of expert and Italian smooth-talker.

The only terrible part about the night was having to make a tough decision between the Pappardelle and the Tortelli with Asparagus, Fava Beans, Sweet Peas and Cream!
