Children's chalk artwork out by the lakefront.
This year I had the *best* Easter since I was a little kid busy collecting colorful plastic eggs in the grassy field of Mullins Park, Coral Springs (yes, there's photographic evidence that I did this, I just have to dig it up). Although I was sad I didn't see any man-sized bunnies this year, all in all, it was still a good holiday weekend with my closest friends, my adopted family in Chicago. [Aside – What was your favorite Easter?]
Easter Sunday Funday began with The Fella and I playing with FurFur out in the school field. She pretty much hopped around like a rabbit on crack, so I guess that's the closest I'll get this year to bunnies. Then it was off to a highly-anticipated (for me, anyway) Easter brunch with friends at David Burke's Primehouse. It continued to be an unabashedly lovely day, so I dragggged The Fella to walk down by the lakefront and North Avenue Beach. Fresh air, flip flop weather, and sand at last!
Note to self: Really must take advantage of the North Avenue Beach,
just a straight bus shot down from the house!
And for those of you who care (I know there's only a few out there), I was inspired to put together my best "Easter outfit" to reflect the mood of the glorious day. A wide-brimmed, floppy hat would probably have completed the look, although I'm pretty sure God doesn't care what I wear!just a straight bus shot down from the house!
