The weekend, succinctly

There was lots of napping and lazing around this weekend, intermixed with a little bit of seeing old friends.

After a week away from home, The Fella returned so I had him take over all the domestic duties Saturday. While I did absolutely nothing. (Hey, equality and balance in relationships is important!)

Some friends who had recently moved to Pittsburgh and San Diego were back in town this weekend for a conference. It was soooo nice seeing familiar faces again. We delighted in the festive decor of Carnivale in the West Loop, wannabe-Miami-mojitos, and the many bachelorette parties streaming in and out.

{ Carnivale }
{ tasting of three ceviches – not very authentic or terrific, but okay enough }
{ george castanza-ing it* }

And a full day dedicated to watching movies on the couch. I love these kinds of weekends. Shutter Island, The Proposal, Nine, and some other weird indie films The Fella likes. (Guess who's pick The Proposal was!?)

*Outfit, head to toe:
