OOTD: A little bit Frenchie

I must confess, I wasn't actually wearing this yesterday, but I found this photo (taken about two weekends ago) lingering on my computer. The weather yesterday in Chicago was 9 degrees, -2 with wind chill, and I was sporting a seriously puffy, ankle-length insular coat that screams "Winter, you will not beat me down!" and not the pretty navy blue coat featured below. That, and the original OOTD that I had in my head just did not go the way I'd hoped and it ended up being nothing special. It was so cold yesterday morning I did not care to change again into a better outfit. So, in lieu of a real, true OOTD, here is a picture of a French-inspired* outfit set against the backdrop of a matching blue vintage truck on a lovely 30something degree night not too long ago. Oh, how I miss you warm temps!

*The concierge at The Shops at North Bridge actually wished me "Au revoir!" the day I wore this.
