Here is the real OOTD (not like the one I posted earlier that was posing as yesterday's outfit post and was actually taken two weeks ago). It was 5 degrees, -10 with wind chill this morning, so I pulled out the big guns, wearing several layers, top and bottom, PLUS my serious winter coat that makes me look like a short abominable snowman. I know, scary, right? (I meant the weather, not me as an abominable snowman. Although, it does makes me laugh a bit when I picture a vision of me running around town as a snowman.)
Underneath said scary winter coat, I'm wearing a wool and faux fur jacket from Anthropologie, which I bought back in September for our Vintage/Urban Anniversary Photo Shoot. The ruffles and tailoring make it a tad too sweet and ladylike for me (and anyone who knows me, knows I pack a good punch), so today I paired it with black denim and a bit of leather for some edge. The faux fur adds a surprising dimension of much-needed warmth on a day like today. It's almost like wearing another layer. Of course, I am also wearing a thermal top underneath, leggings under skinny jeans, fleece boot socks and my trusty Hunter Wellies. I barely feel the subzero temps! My, I'm getting good at this, if I can toot my own horn.
